Clean Origin vs Luvansh
One of these two will let you send the ring back. The other tells you, on the product page, that it will not.
Clean Origin publishes a return window far longer than most of the category; Luvansh undercuts nearly everyone on price but sells its made-to-order rings as final sale and states outright that it offers no lifetime warranty. Choose Clean Origin if you may change your mind, Luvansh only if you will not.

| Stated return window | Far longer than 30 days — sources disagree on the exact figure, see note below | Varies by product; the site sells returnable and final-sale collections separately | 30 days from the date your order ships |
| Warranty | Lifetime manufacturing warranty, with a paid service plan above it | None — their FAQ says they do not offer a lifetime warranty; defects fixed within 30 days | Lifetime manufacturing warranty covering materials and workmanship |
| Centre stone cover | Not separately excluded in the terms we hold | Setting guaranteed; insuring the centre diamond is left to you | Covered against manufacturing defect; loss and accidental damage are not |

| Price match | Not published | Published — they will match the same item for less | Not published |
Luvansh rows were quoted from luvansh.com on 19 August 2026. Clean Origin rows come from our own earlier comparison, last checked July 2026, and one figure is in dispute — verify the current return window on their returns page before you rely on it. Beyond Carat is unaffiliated with both. Prices are omitted throughout: lab-grown listings reprice weekly and any number printed here would be wrong by the time you read it. Corrections welcome.
Each Brand At Its Strongest
Where Clean Origin wins
- A return window several times longer than the 30 days most of this category offers, ours included
- A lifetime manufacturing warranty against a competitor that publishes none
- Named grading across IGI and GCAL, with GCAL from half a carat up
- Free insured shipping both ways in discreet packaging
- A far larger public review base than a young brand can show
Where Luvansh wins
- A written price-match guarantee, which neither Clean Origin nor we publish
- Grades that go where a D–F house will not — G and H colour, SI clarity, recommended by them for value
- Natural stones and unusual cuts alongside lab-grown, in one catalogue
- Insured two-day shipping at no charge with a signature on every domestic order
- A Brooklyn space you can book into, which Clean Origin does not offer anywhere
Our Case, And Its Limits
Where Beyond Carat wins
- A made-to-order ring you can still return on the same 30-day terms as anything else we sell, with high jewelry, special orders and one-off custom work refunding to credit
- A lifetime manufacturing warranty rather than a 30-day defect window
- Free worldwide shipping while Luvansh stops at the Canadian border
- One grading laboratory named on every stone, with no most-of-our-diamonds hedge
- A floor of D–F colour, VVS–VS clarity and Excellent cut, so there is no low end to avoid
Where we lose
- Clean Origin gives you far longer to change your mind than our 30 days
- Luvansh will beat us on headline price, and we should not pretend otherwise
- No price-match commitment of any kind on our side
- Our Trustpilot base stood at 43 reviews in August 2026, against two brands with much larger public bases
- No physical space at all, not even a pop-up
Three Things To Settle Before You Order
Final sale is not a footnote at Luvansh — it is the default for rings
Their live one-carat solitaire listing carries this sentence: “Since this item is handcrafted and made to order specifically for you, it cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged.” Bespoke and engraved orders fall under the identical rule. Their FAQ declines to publish a single return window at all, answering instead that the window depends on the product, and the store is split into a returnable collection and a final-sale collection.
For items that are eligible, the mechanics are reasonable: a prepaid label, an inspection window, one free exchange per order. Two conditions catch people out. The parcel has to be handed over at a staffed FedEx location, because using a drop box voids the return. And damage or missing-item claims have to be raised within two business days of delivery.
Bottom line: read the product page, not the returns page — the ring, not the policy, decides whether you can send it back.
The warranty gap is the widest thing on this page
Most jewelers at this price point publish a lifetime manufacturing warranty, Clean Origin and ourselves included. Luvansh does not, and its FAQ says so in plain words rather than burying it: no lifetime warranty is offered, and loose prongs, metal problems and broken clasps count as manufacturing issues to be put right inside 30 days of delivery. Cleaning and prong tightening sit inside that same month, after which the yearly safety check they advise costs an extra $100, and cover lapses the moment another jeweller repairs or resizes the piece.
The line worth reading twice is about the stone itself. Luvansh guarantees the setting, but tells you plainly that insuring the centre diamond falls to you, through a personal jewelry policy. On a four-figure purchase that is a meaningful transfer of risk, and it is disclosed rather than hidden — which is more than several larger brands manage.
Bottom line: budget for jewelry insurance from day one if you buy here.
Two things about Clean Origin we could not settle, and will not guess
The first is the return window. An earlier check of ours recorded 60 days; a more recent review recorded 100. Both are longer than our own 30, so the direction is not in doubt, but the number is, and printing the wrong one would be exactly the sort of error this page exists to avoid. Read it from their returns page on the day you buy.
The second is ownership. One record has Clean Origin owned by Grown Brilliance since August 2024. Separately, trade coverage of Titan Company acquiring a 17.5% voting stake in Great Heights Inc for $20 million in March 2022 identifies Great Heights as the parent that sells lab-grown jewelry through the Clean Origin brand. Those two accounts cannot both be current. If buying from an independent matters to you, ask them who owns the company before you order.
Bottom line: two open questions, both answerable in one email to their support team.
Which To Choose
Clean Origin if…
- There is any chance the ring comes back — the window is the longest here
- You want a lifetime manufacturing warranty rather than a 30-day defect fix
- A GCAL report at half a carat and above appeals to you
- Free insured shipping in both directions is worth paying a little more for
Luvansh if…
- Carat size is the priority and you are content at G–H colour or SI clarity
- You are certain about design, size and metal before you order
- A written price match is what closes the decision for you
- You want a natural stone or an unusual cut in the same catalogue
Our read: this is a risk decision dressed up as a price decision. Luvansh is genuinely cheaper and genuinely wider, and for a decisive buyer who has already handled a similar ring, that is a fair trade. For a first engagement ring bought online, sight unseen, giving up the return right and the warranty at the same time is a lot to give up at once. If you want the made-to-order route without that trade, that is the position we occupy — same 30-day return on a custom-configured ring, and the warranty stays.
Frequently Asked Questions
Not if it was made to order. Luvansh prints the answer on the product page itself: their one-carat solitaire is built to your order and therefore “cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged”. Bespoke and engraved orders are final sale too. Their store separates returnable stock from final-sale stock, so check which side your ring sits on.
No, and they say so themselves: their FAQ answers the question with the words we do not offer a lifetime warranty. Manufacturing issues such as loose prongs are fixed within 30 days of delivery. They also place the centre diamond outside the guarantee, pointing you to a personal jewelry policy for it.
Clean Origin, comfortably. Two of our sources disagree on the exact figure — one records 60 days and a more recent one records 100 — so confirm it on their returns page. Either way it is far longer than Luvansh, whose window varies by product and disappears entirely on made-to-order rings.
Often, but the comparison is not like for like. Luvansh sells G to H colour and SI clarity and recommends those grades for value; it also sells natural stones. A cheaper listing at a lower grade is a different product, not a better deal. Compare two listings at matching certified grades on the same day.
Our sources disagree, so we are not settling it here. One records Clean Origin as owned by Grown Brilliance since August 2024. Trade coverage of Titan Company taking a 17.5% stake in Great Heights Inc in March 2022 identifies Great Heights as the parent selling through Clean Origin. Ask them directly if it matters to you.
Between them on returns and above both on warranty. Our own policy is 30 days from the date your order ships, with a free prepaid, insured UPS return label on U.S. orders, a lifetime manufacturing warranty, and free worldwide shipping. We stock only D, E or F colour; VVS or VS clarity; Excellent cut, so we cannot compete at Luvansh prices.
