The stone in the ring
Beyond Carat sells one kind of stone. Every centre stone and every accent stone we set is a lab-grown diamond, which our lab grown diamonds page defines as pure crystallised carbon atoms arranged in an isometric cubic crystal structure, with the same physical, chemical and optical properties as a mined diamond and the same 10 on the Mohs scale, created in a controlled laboratory environment. Because there is only one line, there is only one standard to hold us to: D, E or F colour, VVS or VS clarity and Excellent cut, with the IGI report in the box. Grading
Every Beyond Carat diamond is graded by IGI before it ships, at every carat weight, and the report travels with the ring at no extra charge, so the grades you are paying for were written by a laboratory rather than by us. Diamond Nexus's lab grown diamonds page states that its lab grown diamonds are graded by the International Gemological Institute and will always be F/G color, VVS/VS clarity and Excellent/Ideal cut.
Returns, resizing and warranty
Beyond Carat counts 65 days from the day the order ships, so you have more than two months to live with a piece before deciding. U.S. returns travel on a prepaid insured UPS label, and the refund goes back to the original payment method with nothing deducted. High jewelry, special orders and truly custom pieces refund as store credit.
