What is the difference between diamond stacking rings and plain gold bands for everyday wear?
Wear behaviour, mostly. A plain gold band has nothing to catch and marks evenly, so it ages as one surface. A diamond band carries settings that can snag and prongs worth checking once a year, and returns light a plain band cannot. Which of the 4Cs has the most visible impact to the naked eye?
Cut, by a wide margin, and it is the one most buyers under-weight. A stone can hold the top grades for everything else and still look dull if its proportions leak light out of the bottom instead of returning it through the table.
