Emerald & Oval Two Stone Lab Grown Diamond Earrings

A step cut beside an elongated brilliant gives two very different kinds of light in one footprint. The design gives each shape equal standing.

Buying Guide

An earring gives a two-shape design two positions to work with rather than one. What makes two stones risky on a band makes them unremarkable on an earring. Both shapes read long, so this pairing sits lower and wider than a round-based one. The emerald cut shows clarity and the oval hides it, which is why we hold the same floor across both.

We match these two on total length rather than on individual weight, because both outlines are elongated. Made-to-order work means the proportions are set deliberately rather than inherited. If the pairing is a gift, ask us how it reads at conversational distance. Both diamonds carry an IGI report in the box, and every pair ships free within the U.S. with 30-day returns.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a two stone earring?

A two stone earring sets a pair of diamonds in one piece, usually in contrasting shapes, rather than a single centre stone. We build them across ten shape pairings and 210 designs, in studs, hoops and drops. Every stone is IGI-certified in D–F colour and VVS–VS clarity.

Is VS1 or VS2 better?

VS1 is the higher of the two. Both sit in the Very Slightly Included band, and the distinction is how hard a grader has to work at 10x magnification to find the inclusions — harder in a VS1. In wear the difference is usually invisible, which is why we treat VVS–VS as a floor rather than a target. Where it does show is in step cuts, whose open facets hide nothing.

What are the color grades of lab grown diamond earrings?

The same scale as any diamond — D through Z, with D the most colorless. Our earrings never use the lower half of it: every stone in a Beyond Carat pair is IGI-graded to a D–F colour and VVS–VS clarity floor. The exact grade for a pair is printed on the IGI report that travels in the box, not just claimed on a product page.

Why do two diamonds with the same color and clarity sparkle differently?

Cut, almost every time. Color and clarity grade the material; cut grades the workmanship, and it decides how much light comes back out of the table instead of leaking through the pavilion. Two stones can both be D color and VS1 and still look nothing alike because one is cut to better proportions. We hold Excellent cut across the range for that reason — it is the grade that does the visible work.

Will a lab grown diamond cloud or fade?

No. A diamond’s optical properties do not change with time or wear, whether it grew in a laboratory or in the ground, and our lifetime warranty covers those properties for exactly that reason. Two other things get mistaken for clouding, and neither is one: the surface film of everyday oils, which cleaning removes, and crushed-ice faceting, which scatters light into a granular pattern by design rather than by defect.
