Buying Guide
A tennis necklace is the hardest piece in the range to make well, because it is not one diamond but dozens that have to read as a single line. Any variation in color or cut across the run shows immediately when the piece lies flat against skin — which is precisely why our D–F colour and VVS–VS clarity floor does more work here than on any single-stone piece.
The two decisions are total carat weight, which sets how substantial the line looks, and metal, which sets how the diamonds read against it. A white metal keeps the stones reading colourless; yellow and rose gold warm the line deliberately. Because every piece is made to order, length and weight are specified rather than chosen from stock. Everything ships with its IGI report, free within the U.S., fully insured with a signature required, and carries 65-day returns.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you wear a tennis necklace every day?
Yes, with one habit worth keeping: check the closure the way you would check prongs on a ring, because a necklace carries its whole diamond line under its own weight all day. The stones themselves are untroubled at 10 on the Mohs scale. We make 40 tennis necklace designs to order, each stone IGI-certified in D–F colour and VVS–VS clarity.
How do I style a lab grown diamond tennis necklace?
Wear it alone, or as the shortest layer in a stack. It sits close to the collarbone and carries an unbroken line of light, so anything layered above it competes and anything longer recedes behind it. We would pair it with studs rather than drops and match the metal exactly, because mixed metals read as accidental on a piece this uniform. All 40 designs are made to order.
Why is it called a tennis bracelet?
It is named after a 1987 US Open match in which Chris Evert’s diamond line bracelet came off mid-point and play was stopped while it was recovered. Before that the style was sold as a line or eternity bracelet; the new name stuck and the trade adopted it. The design itself never changed — a continuous run of matched diamonds on a flexible band.
Who certifies your diamonds?
IGI, the International Gemological Institute. Every Beyond Carat diamond is graded by IGI and the report ships in the box with the piece, with the report number laser-inscribed on the girdle of the stone so it can be matched back to the paperwork at any time.
What diamond quality do you stock?
D, E or F colour; VVS or VS clarity; Excellent cut. That is the floor across the whole range, not an upgrade tier — the entry-level ring and the largest centre stone are graded to the same standard. Every stone is IGI-certified and the report ships with the piece.
