Two Stone Lab Grown Diamond Earrings

A two stone earring sets a pair of diamonds in one piece, usually in contrasting shapes, rather than building around a single centre stone.

Buying Guide

Two-shape designs are far more common in earrings than in rings, and the reason is structural rather than fashionable. An earring has two symmetrical positions to fill and takes almost none of the impact a ring absorbs, so a setting can hold two stones side by side without the prong-security compromise that the same arrangement forces on a band worn daily.

What makes a pairing work is contrast. A brilliant beside something elongated or angular reads as a deliberate choice; two similar outlines read as a mistake. We match the two stones on visual balance rather than on the certificate, because shapes spread weight differently and an equal-weight pair can still look uneven. Every stone is IGI-certified in D–F colour, VVS–VS clarity and Excellent cut, and every pair is made to order with free U.S. shipping and 30-day returns.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between D and E color in a lab grown diamond?

One grade, and nothing you will see. Both sit inside the colorless band, and a grader separates them by laying the stone face-down beside a master set under controlled light, which is not how anyone looks at a ring. Set in yellow or rose gold the distinction disappears entirely. Our floor is D–F colour, so both are inside the range.

Is a D color diamond better than an E or an F?

Technically yes, visibly no. D, E and F are the three colorless grades, and they are separated by comparison against master stones under controlled light rather than by anything you would see across a table. Once a stone is set — especially in yellow or rose gold — the three are indistinguishable. Beyond Carat holds a D–F colour floor across the entire range, so the choice is between three grades that all read colorless.

What is the best color grade for a lab grown diamond?

D is the top grade, but best and highest are not the same question. D, E and F are all colorless, and once a stone is set nobody separates them by eye — the distinction is a laboratory comparison against master stones. Beyond Carat sets nothing below F, so the lowest grade you can buy here still reads colorless on the hand.

What is a VS1 diamond?

A VS1 diamond is one grade inside the Very Slightly Included band: inclusions are present, difficult for a trained grader to locate at 10x magnification, and not visible to the unaided eye. On the IGI scale it sits below VVS2 and above VS2. Our range holds a VVS–VS floor, so a VS1 sits in the middle of what we set rather than at the edge of it.

Do two stone earrings work for everyday wear?

Yes. An earring takes almost none of the impact a ring absorbs, which is why more elaborate settings are practical here in a way they are not on a band. Our two stone designs start at $269 and are made to order in gold, platinum and silver.
